The 30-year-old Australian National Cricket Team star batsman Marnus Labuschagne has said that the Indian National Cricket Team will enter the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy with confidence.

New Zealand humiliated India in the three-match Test series
New Zealand National Cricket Team came to India on the back of a humiliating Test series loss to Sri Lanka National Cricket Team and nobody gave them a chance. India were huge favorites to win the series as they beat Bangladesh 2-0.
However, once the series started, things changed completely as the Black Caps began to dominate and the Rohit Sharma-led side looked clueless.
The Kiwis beat India by 113 runs to win the first Test by 8 wickets at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru before sealing the series at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
The Indian team was completely shocked after suffering defeat in the second Test as it was their first Test series defeat at home in over a decade. To make matters worse, India lost by 25 runs in the third Test as well and the Men in Blue went 0-3 at home for the first time in the history of Test cricket.

Speaking ahead of the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, Marnus Labuschagne said it was good that India came to Australia with a Test series loss. news for Aussies.
However, Marnus Labuschagne made it very clear that they will not underestimate the visitors as they are a quality team.
“For India to come here with a home defeat is something that has never happened before, so I think it’s a good thing in terms of their confidence being a bit low, not having a Test victory and losing to New Zealand in India.
“I think it will knock their confidence a bit but at the end of the day they are a quality squad and one of the best. teams in the world. So you can never underestimate a team like this,” Labuschagne told reporters on Tuesday.

Marnus Labuschagne has had a great start to his Test career and he has twice been ranked World No.1 in the ICC Rankings. However, he has not been at his best since Ashes 2023 and is going through a lean patch.
Again, former Australian National Cricket Team batsman David Warner confident that Labuschagne will be able to feature for the Aussies in the marquee test series.
“Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne… are probably sane, overdue for some runs,” Warner said on Fox Cricket.
“I think Marnus is really ready for the series; I hope he will have a great series for Australia.”
