After United’s FA Cup win against Arsenal on Sunday, manager Ruben Amorim was questioned Rashford’s future at the clubbut he was coy about the situation.

“I don’t know. We’ll see,” said Amorim. “He’s a Manchester United player. He has to work and represent the club he loves. But I have to make decisions, and that’s it. We’ll see what happens in the next game.”

Rashford himself said: “For me personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps.

“When I leave, there will be no hard feelings.” If I know a situation is already bad, I won’t make it worse.

“I’ve seen how other players have left in the past and I don’t want to be that person. When it comes out I will make a statement and it will be mine.”

Rashford has three-and-a-half years left on his current United contract and United are also believed to want to sell him.
