Marc Marquez is struggling to ‘get fit’ after 2025 injury.

During the interview with Sports worldMárquez admits he is struggling to regain the ‘fluidity’ he has had since his injury at the 2025 Indonesian Grand Prix.

The Spaniard is now looking for a ‘best level’ with the Ducati GP26 to match his level with the Ducati GP25.

Marquez said: “Well, after an injury, you always have to adjust, more or less, change things, find a way to give a little more. After every injury, it’s 100% different. That’s what I’ve learned in my sports life.”

“Sometimes 100% is reduced by 1%, sometimes it is reduced by 10%, which is a big amount for an athlete, but we will try to work in the next few weeks and months to find a good level that allows us to enjoy ourselves on the bike.

“Now, I’m at the level physically to fight for the podium, but I still want to take another step to regain the fluidity I had last year.”

Ducati ‘not worried’ about performance levels in 2026

In the same interview, Marquez spoke about his performance at the Chang International Circuit in the first round of the season.

That wasn’t the case, but hey, we started second, finished second in the race and would have finished on the podium on Sunday if nothing had happened in those last six laps. So it’s not too bad.
