Manchester United fans have been told to relax with the ongoing transfer saga with Chido Obi-Martin yet to be officially announced by the club despite a deal in place for the former Manchester United youngster arsenal
The prolific Danish striker impressed greatly during his time with the Gunners, and it will have been seen as a blow once he decided to leave for a major rival like Man Utd.
According to the Manchester Evening Newsthe Red Devils see this deal as a major coup, and while it still needs some ratification, it’s not expected to be a problem for it to be officially sealed anytime soon.
Obi-Martin could have a huge future at United, so fans will no doubt be hoping this can be sorted out as soon as possible, although sometimes these deals can have little complications that take time to work out, although are not particularly worrisome.
Chido Obi Martin was someone Arsenal did not want to lose
How Charles Watts told us earlier this year that Arsenal did not want to lose Obi-Martinwhich was clearly highly rated at the Emirates Stadium.
“Arsenal don’t want to lose him and they’ve made that clear in recent talks. A first professional contract is on the table which could be signed as soon as he turns 17,” Watts said ahead of the transfer window of summer
“But he doesn’t turn 17 until December and so Arsenal remain vulnerable to the in-demand striker leaving early.”
It’s a bit of a surprise that Obi-Martin is technically still without a club, but MUFC fans should perhaps take heart from this latest update and may not have to wait too much longer for an official announcement of this exciting signing .
