Manchester United’s search for a new striker has taken them to Paris Saint-Germain and France star Randal Kolo Muani, who could be available for loan during the 2025 winter transfer window.
Incoming manager Ruben Amorim is likely to be looking for a new striker during his first foray into the transfer market. A reunion with Viktor Gyokereswho has scored 23 goals in 17 games this season for Sporting CP d’Amorim, has been heavily speculated, but is not the only option available to the Red Devils.
A move for Gyokeres is unlikely to happen until next summer and, in the meantime, Manchester United need a new number nine as they have been unable to count on Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee to produce consistent goals this season.

Randal Kolo Muani can be a short-term solution for Manchester United
according to filesPSG are expected to allow Kolo Muani to leave the club on loan in January as they want him to receive regular minutes in the second half of the season. Manchester United may see this option as a short-term solution ahead of a potential move for someone like Gyokeres during the 2025 summer transfer window.
Kolo Muani’s career needs to be revived. He was fantastic for Eintracht Frankfurt, who sold him to PSG in 2023 for a fee of €95 million. Since returning to France, the 25-year-old has struggled but is more than capable of resurrecting his Manchester United career, if given the chance to do so.
