Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is sure to have fans excited with his latest hint about the club’s work in the transfer market.
Reporter Fabrizio Romano has quoted the Gunners boss as saying they “know” who they are working to sign, and that was even before Gabriel Jesus’ injury.

See the full quote below from Arteta, who also said that it may now be a case of waiting and seeing how certain things develop, perhaps pointing to the Spanish tactician and his “very clear ideas” progressing well. ..

Arteta said: “We know who we want to sign. We have very clear ideas about the players we want, yes. It was before Gabriel Jesus’ injury and now with Gabi injured and we have to wait and see how things evolve.”
Of course, Arteta was never going to mention any names, so it’s unclear who those targets are, but perhaps he’s pointing towards an upcoming update.
Arsenal fans will be desperate for January signings
Arsenal are currently seven points behind league leaders Liverpool, who have just faced games against Manchester United and Nottingham Forest.
The Gunners can close the gap to just four points if they beat Tottenham tonight, although LFC would still have a game in hand between their title rivals.
Overall, though, with Arne Slot’s side not looking all that invincible at the moment, and with arguably the toughest games remaining, this title race looks far from over.
Arsenal have yet to get started, but if they strengthen their attack this winter, they could give themselves a real hope of chasing down Liverpool and finally winning their first title since 2003/04.
