Manchester United sporting director Dan Ashworth has left Old Trafford after just five months at the club, according to reports The Athletic.
The Red Devils fell to a disappointment Defeat by 3-2 against Nottingham Forest on Saturday as individual player errors proved costly in the tense affair. Sunday morning’s headlines, however, have turned away from the action on the pitch and instead into the boardroom.
Reports have revealed that Ashworth, who left Newcastle United in favor of Man Utd in the summer, he has now left the club after a few months.
His arrival at United was a long process after a long spell of garden leave at his former club, but the Red Devils were keen to welcome Ashworth back to lead their new recruitment structure under part-owners INEOS.

It is still unclear which direction the club will go now that Ashworth has left, with a clear void now vacant at Old Trafford.
