AC Milan have made a formal bid to sign Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford this month, according to a report.
Rashford is available for transfer this month however, given the high cost of a permanent sale, it is attract more loan interest from various parts of Europe.
The Athletic Rashford’s state agents flew to Milan on Tuesday to negotiate with the Serie A side, and this was soon followed by Gianluca Di Marzio‘s they claim that Milan have submitted a formal offer.
Milan are said to have offered Rashford an initial loan as part of a deal that would give them the option to sign him permanently at the end of the season – a format United could be tempted by at the right price .
The main obstacle to negotiations is Rashford’s high wages, believed to be in excess of £300,000-a-week. This figure is unattainable for Milan, who would need it united agree to cover a significant portion as part of any settlement.
That is likely to be the case with other suitors, including Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, who are believed to be eyeing a direct loan move for Rashford without a permanent transfer clause.
Rashford may not be the only striker to leave United this month as a winger Antony is attracting his own loan interest. According to Olympiacos, the Greek side are willing to offer him a platform to rekindle his stagnant career, while Real Betis have suggested they try to sign the Brazilian after selling Assane Diao to Como.
