Rasmus Hojlund and Mason Mount have returned to training at Manchester United as the pair near the end of their injury struggles.
Hojlund picked up a hamstring injury in pre-season and has not been seen since, while a similar problem struck Mount in the second game of the campaign against Brighton & Hove Albion.
Fortunately for United, the pair were photographed in training on Wednesday and the club later confirmed that both Hojlund and Mount had taken part in the session with the rest of the squad.
Manager Erik ten Hag will be reluctant to return either player to competitive action and, luckily for the Red Devils, he may not need to after two impressive performances in their last two outings.
united bounced back from defeat to Liverpool before the international break with an emphatic 3-0 win over Southampton, and followed that up with a 7-0 drubbing of Barnsley who are currently seventh in League One.
A trip to Crystal Palace is scheduled for Saturday and Ten Hag are likely to reward those who impressed in midweek with another start.
In attack, Marcus Rashford adds three goals in his last two games. He started first against Barnsley but could return to left wing, with summer signing Joshua Zirkzee as a striker.
Mount impressed in pre-season and the opening weeks of the current campaign but faces a battle to force his way to United following the arrival of Manuel Ugarte, who also caught the eye against Barnsley.
