Manchester United have begun their pursuit of new goalkeepers, a report has revealed, with Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir fighting for their futures.
Onana has been in the starting line-up for United since his £47.2m move from Ajax in the summer of 2023. His tenure has seen a number of standout performances but also a number of individual errors, notably since new head coach Ruben Amorim arrived.
Cameroon international MP Bayindir has failed to impress in his place. Chances have been limited but an error-laden performance in the Carabao Cup defeat to Tottenham Hotspur has not helped his cause.
The Telegraph been united Officials have begun to assess their options in goal, with Senne Lammens, a 22-year-old Royal Antwerp player, on the radar.
Lammens is highly rated across Europe, and Borussia Dortmund are also said to be interested in his signature.
United are not believed to be desperate to sign a new goalkeeper immediately – the left-back remains a priority, with Paris Saint-Germain’s Nuno Mendes a target – but things could change if Bayindir decides to leave for first-team football.
Even if Bayindir leaves, United may not rush to sign a new goalkeeper, with Tom Heaton, 38, also at Old Trafford.
