according to The MirrorUnited’s board of directors has made inquiries about potential successors to take over from Ten Hag and a shortlist of four has been drawn up.

Ex-Barcelona coach Xavi, Sporting Lisbon player Ruben Amorim, ex-Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic and Brentford’s Thomas Frank are high on Old Trafford’s target list.

If results are anything to go by over the last two months at Old Trafford, one of these managers could soon find themselves in charge of England’s biggest club.

Man United must move on from Erik ten Hag

Man United must make a decision to move on quickly from Ten Hag as there is still time to save the Manchester club’s season. Results have been poor under the Dutch manager’s watch last season and into the current term and there are no signs of things getting any better.

The job is simply too big for the 54-year-old and the international break was the time for a change.

The November international window could be the opportunity the Man United hierarchy have been waiting for and if they can lure Ruben Amorim from Sporting Lisbon to Old Trafford it would be huge as the The Portuguese coach could be the man to replace Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
