Manchester City look to extend their unbeaten run in the UEFA Women’s Champions League against Hammarby on Tuesday.
The Cityzens got their European tour off to a flying start, beating Barcelona 2-0 at the Champions League champions, before completing the comeback with a 3-2 win against St. Polten
Tournament newcomers Hammarby got their 2024/25 campaign off to a winning start, following a 2-0 win against St. Polten that helped lift Bajen’s spirits.
However, the second day was quite the opposite, as Barcelona thrashed the Swedish side 9-0 at the Johan Cruyff Stadium. The encounter at the Joie Stadium will offer Gareth Taylor’s side the perfect opportunity to put themselves in a prime position to top their group ahead of their second meeting with Barcelona in December.

Gareth Taylor made big changes to his City team that faced Barcelona ahead of the clash with St. Polten With Man City preparing to face Women’s Super League rivals Chelsea just four days later, there is likely to be a similar amount of changes against Hammarby.
Vivianne Miedema will remain on the sidelines for the match against the Swedish team, after undergoing surgery on a troublesome left knee injury at the end of October.

St Polten caused Man City real problems, and Hammarby were able to completely control the Austrian side in their 2-0 win. However, the same Barcelona who thrashed the Swedish side were also nullified by the Cityzens, meaning all signs point to a delicious game in Manchester.
