Manchester City has officially announced it arrival of Omar Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt in a deal worth €70m (£59m).
The Egypt international is the latest arrival in a busy January transfer window for the defending Premier League champions. brazilian center Vitor Reis signed de Palmeiras on Tuesday, one day after the acquisition of a fellow defender Abdukodir Khusanov from Lens.

“With Pep (Guardiola), his coaching staff and the world-class facilities here, the players have everything they need to improve. It was very attractive for me when I had the opportunity to come here.
“And I can’t deny that I also want to win trophies. City have been the most successful club in England for many, many years, so I know I’m joining a winning environment and culture. I want to learn from the staff and the my teammates, and I want to become a valuable member of this winning team.
“I’m really looking forward to getting started, meeting the other players and showing the Manchester City fans what I can do.”
Marmoush has enjoyed the best season of his career, racking up 15 goals and 10 assists in just 17 Bundesliga appearances for Frankfurt so far. The 25-year-old striker, who can play anywhere in the front line, was tracked by Liverpool last year
city Director of football Txiki Begiristain, who will leave the club in the summer, won the race for Marmoush’s signature and was full of praise for one of his latest signings at the club. “Omar is an accomplished and exciting striker and I am delighted he is joining us,” said the Spaniard.
“He’s had an excellent season, and every time we’ve seen him, he’s had an impact on games.
“He has all the attributes that a top striker requires. He has exceptional pace and awareness, and is exceptional in front of goal. He can also play a number of positions, which is a really valuable asset.
“I also have no doubt that working with Pep and the coaching staff here at City will see him further develop his excellent attacking talent.”
Marmoush will wear the number seven shirt and has signed a deal until the summer of 2029 which includes add-ons of up to £4m.
