Man United defender Luke Shaw has suffered another minor injury setback and the left-back has taken to social media to express his frustration at his latest problem.

The 29-year-old is known to be an injury-prone player, but 2024 has been devastating for the Englishman. Shaw has failed 58 matches per club and country since February, which has left many fans frustrated.

The defender has recently returned from knee and calf problems which have plagued his 2024/25 campaign so far, with the full-back making three appearances from the bench against Ipswich Town, Bodo/Glimt and Everton since his return to fitness . replacing the Red Devils ‘future’ last time out.

Luke Shaw ‘absolutely devastated’ by latest injury setback

Following the news of his latest injury, Shaw took to social media to share his feelings with Man United fans.

“Hey guys, I’m really sorry to have to write this as I really thought I was over my recent struggles and on a positive path going forward but unfortunately I’ve had a bit of a setback,” the left-back stated via of Manchester Evening News.

“I’ve been through a lot of ups and downs, but this has definitely been my most difficult period. I am absolutely devastated and it is extremely difficult to accept reality at this time.

“I understand there’s going to be people frustrated, angry, disappointed and I understand all of that. There’s nobody who feels that more than me right now.

“But what I can promise is that I will do my best to come back better soon to help this club achieve their ambitions this season. Thank you all for your support. It really doesn’t go unnoticed and I really appreciate it.”
