Fabrizio Romano has provided an exclusive update on the futures of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, with Liverpool seemingly confident of their contracts.
talking with Caught offside through the daily information sessionRomano stated that there is still work to be done for the Reds to keep those two star names, but negotiations are ongoing.
Things look less positive for Liverpool’s hopes of keeping Trent Alexander-Arnoldbut the feeling seems to be that they can persuade both Salah and Van Dijk to stay at Anfield.

Like Alexander-Arnold, both Salah and Van Dijk are due to be out of contract this summer, so it’s a race against time for LFC to get them to pen the new deals.
For now, though, it looks like things may be on track, even if it’s not exactly imminent yet.

“Liverpool are still negotiating with Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah as well,” Romano said.
“Liverpool stand their ground… they are confident of making it possible with Salah and Van Dijk, but there is still no progress in the talks.
“So there’s more work to be done on these deals.”
Liverpool fans will no doubt be disappointed that things don’t seem to be going well for Alexander-Arnold, but sticking with two other legendary figures in the form of Salah and Van Dijk would certainly soften the blow considerably.
Salah in particular has been arguably the best player on the planet in recent months, so it’s vitally important that the Merseyside giants don’t lose the Egypt international for nothing.
Van Dijk is also club captain and shows no signs of slowing down with age, so Liverpool fans will be hoping he also extends his stay at Anfield a little longer.
