If you are an absolute golf nerd and while looking ”Happy Gilmore 2,“Noticed that Adam Sandler’s swing had a quiet calm conclusion for him, your eyes did not deceive you.
Only after the premiere of the long -awaited continuation of one of the best golf films, which won the largest opening weekend for Netflix everPGA Tour Hunter Mahan winner revealed that he played Sandler’s Swing Double for the role of title.
In the episode of this week’s Golf’s week, Mahan told co-hosts Colt Knost and Drew Stoltz that the role came only last September.
Mahan said he was preparing to train a high school tour when his agent received an investigation into his acting services.
“Someone from Madison happy … and didn’t explain it completely, it was just like, hey, they need someone to swing for Adam, for happy gilmore,” Mahan said. “And he is not happy with the people who have their swinging, and he is very special about that.”
Fortunately, Mahan was able to get coverage for completion of the tournament, so he left with the team on Sunday, trained on Monday, flew on Tuesday and was in full order until Wednesday.
As it turns out, Sandler loved how Mahan made Swing Happy Gilmore, and by Friday, Mahan was registered to work in a group for the next six weeks.

“Just be there for essentially everything it needed,” said Mahan. “And whatever I could do, whether it’s like staying, a rhythm, b-roll, another camera somewhere, and shooting things, just whatever. I was a kind of their Beck and searching for the next six weeks.”
But it was not just an outlet and playing for Mahan. He spent a lot of time making sure his performance was true for the original film. He even received some instructions from Sandler himself.
“I was watching” Happy Gilmore “, the first movie and understanding, how it enters it, is it a walk, is it a change, which foot goes first, you know? I wanted to be as professional and true as I could,” Mahan said. “And so, I’m confused with a few different things and tried to get, I mean, his end is too high, right?
“Likes like, you can show some kind, it’s like, boom! And it’s a kind, he falls with his foot, and there is really, he is not really standing there. It is a great conclusion and stuff, so I wanted to get it as good as I could.
“And I think it was Thursday’s first day, I was introduced to her some kind of quickly, and he is like, I want it to be great, and some walking in it was not as important, but a kind as a great, tall, exaggerated rhythm, as great as you can, and tall, you know, a long one is what he was.”
