Promoter Sampson Lewkowicz says David Banavidez will fight for the full WBC lightweight title in September, possibly against Callum Smith, after the belt has been evacuated or from current champion Dmitri Bivol.

Lewkowicz said he wanted Biblical to bring back the WBC title and pop in on Monday because he was not going to defend it against Benavidez. It will not be at stake if Biblical Betterbiev will be in their trilogy match.
The WBC has already ordered Bisvolt to start negotiating Benavidez (30-0, 24 COs) with WBC, and they have until April 8 to compile an agreement in front of a wallet. However, Lewkowicz does not see this happening because of the Bivol-Beterbiev trilogy game that is in the planning stages.
