Neville also admitted that he had some sympathy for Colwill, as he is still young and developed as a player, but it is clear that Chelsea needs to do better than that.

Colwill previously had a very impressive loan spell on Brighton, but it is not clear that he has really developed since then, with the 21 -year -old who looks like one of the several Chelsea players who have gone back.
Maresca had been doing a good job on the Stamford bridge, but some cracks have begun to appear as the season continued, and Colwill’s struggles could be seen as a particular concern.
International England is a homemade talent that may do better in a different and more secluded club.
