Jake Paul revealed today that Anthony Joshua called him, and they agreed to fight in 2026. Former two-time heavyweight champion Joshua (28-4, 25 CO’s) wants the battle with Jake (11-1, 7 COs), and it will create more interest in the British fighter’s career than any other available option with other heavyweights.
Joshua waited for Tyson Fury to come out of pension because the fight would be great worldwide. However, it does not seem to happen. Jake Paul is easily Joshua’s next biggest struggle, and it can happen. Paul is ambitious and will fight.
2026 agreement
Jake, 28, came out of an impressive decision of eight rounds on Mike Tyson on November 15 in a fight that was shown directly on Netflix and created a lot of interest. Joshua wants to start in the action to be part of the very popular YouTuber-driven boxer Jake.
Paul says he also talked to Gervonta Davis about a fight. They plan to fight as soon as the tank faces in Lamont Roach on June 21. It will be interesting to see how Tank and Paul agree on a weight for fighting, because there is a big difference in size. Davis is fighting for lightweight at 135, and Jake is fighting for heavyweight. It will take some kind of catch to make the fight fair for both fighters.
“We’re going to plan it for 2026. I talked to Anthony on the phone. He called me and said, ‘I saw you cry out’ and say, ‘Let’s manage it. Let’s make it happen, ” Jake Paul says to the media About him and Anthony Joshua talk about fighting next year.
“There is a lot of talk about and in negotiations and almost ready to happen, but he has to do his re -broadcast with Lamont (ROACH) and get the w, and then we can run it back,” Jake says about talking to Gervonta Davis for a fight. “I and Gevonta were scheduled to fight for sure.”
