Lester Martinez will already enter the ring as the shorter fighter.

He is also the lighter of the two undefeated super middleweights who will headline Wednesday’s ProBox TV show.

Guatemala’s Martinez (18-0, 15 KOs) was a trim and fit 167 pounds, while Joeshon James (9-0-2, 5 KOs) was 167.6 pounds. The two will meet in a ten-round regional title fight from ProBox TV Events Center in Plant City, Florida.

Martinez is The Ring’s no. 8-rated super middleweight contender. The undefeated 28-year-old drew praise for his June 28 points victory over Carlos Gongora in Washington, DC.

Meanwhile, James is once again willing to play the spoiler role.

The 26-year-old from Sacramento, Calif., has become accustomed to upsetting the apple cart. James has gone 2-0-2 against four consecutive unbeaten opponents. Most notably, he scored a stunning first-round knockout of David Stevens, who was 13-0 when they met last October 21 in Inglewood, California.

James recently defeated Vaughn Alexander (18-8-1 at the time) on top of a Feb. 16 ProBox show in Plant City.
