Leicester City have reportedly refused to allow goalkeeper Daniel Iversen to leave the club after a number of Championship sides approached.
With the window closed after a relatively quiet summer for Premier League clubs, English sides must now embark on the season with their current crop of players.
Newly promoted Leicester City did their best to strengthen their squad with some key players including Odsonne Edouard who joined on loan and Oliver Skipp who arrived from Tottenham Hotspur on a permanent deal.
But the Foxes were also reluctant to allow anyone to leave the club, reportedly refusing a deadline day move for goalkeeper Iversen, according to reporter Alan Nixon via his Patreon.
“Leicester City paid a huge price for goalkeeper Daniel Iversen on deadline day and cost him a move.” he said
The report claimed a number of Championship clubs enquired, but all were put off by his price hike from £1.5m to £4m on the final day of the window.
The Foxes are still searching for their first Premier League win of the season after losing to Aston Villa on Saturday following last weekend’s defeat to Fulham.
Steve Cooper will have his work cut out for him especially with a clash against Arsenal coming up at the end of the month.
