Leeds United has stated a pre-contract agreement with the Nigerian Ombudsman Leonard Ngenge, who officially joined the club in August 2025 after turning 18.
Ngenge currently plays Ikorodu City in Nigeria and has been recognized as a promising talent in his domestic league.
The agreement was confirmed by Ikorodu City Sports Director Wale Quadri, who said All Nigerian football:
“Ngenge has an existing agreement with Leeds United, it is a pre-contract. In August, he should join Leeds. He was exploited in Nigeria and then invited to Leeds for later training. He returned as two weeks ago from Leeds. This should be his second visit to Leeds. He is signed as a player for the future; they are waiting for them to turn 18 years old.”

Ngenge’s performances have received attention, especially being named MAN of the party to the 1-0 victory of the city of Ikorodu on Lobi Stars.
Its ability to contribute both defensively and offensively, with reports that indicated their strength in aerial duels and their composition on the ball, has been emphasized.
Upon arrival at Leeds United, Ngenge is expected to integrate into the club’s U-21 configuration, with the potential of progressing through the ranks based on their development and performance.
Leeds plans to continue investing in young players, as they have done in the past.
Farke will be busy this summer
While the manager Daniel Farke is currently celebrating the promotion to the Premier League, he still has an eye on transfers for the future.
This is just the start of the Leeds transfer business this summer. Whites are expected to have a busy summer transfer window with additions to attack, midfield and defense positions.
