Leeds Open Talks with Porto on the 27 -year transfer

Leeds United’s hopes for automatic promotion to the Premier League suffered once this week, as the club fell from the first to the third in the championship standings.

A single point separates them from Sheffield United Secondary, while Burnley stands closely in front of the summit.

With only six games in the regular season, each game has a significant weight in the offer of whites to recover a higher place.

Despite the ongoing promotion battle, Leeds is already preparing for the next summer transfer window.

Whether Leeds Returning to the Premier League or facing the championship once again, strengthening the squad is still a clear priority for the club’s hierarchy.

One of the possible reinforcements is the Nigerian International Zaidu Sanusi, currently in the books of the Portuguese giants FC Porto.

Zaidu Sanusi linked to the summer change to Leeds

According to FootLeeds has opened talks with Portuguese giants on a potential agreement for the Nigerian International.

It is said that the proposed agreement includes a four -year contract that runs until 2029, with an estimated transfer fee in the region of £ 1.75 million.

It is crucially, both the player and the Porto are open to the movement, which means that this transfer is worth controlling as the summer window approaches.

Zaidu, formerly desired by West HamHe started his trip to Portuguese football in 2016 with Gil Vicente, then gained valuable experience during a loan spell on SC Mirandela.

His outstanding performances at CD Santa Clara earned him a transfer to FC Porto in 2020, where he quickly established himself as a regular starter and contributed to the club’s domestic successes.

However, the Nigerian decline has supported a difficult spell over the past year. A serious cruciate ligament injury discarded him for a large part of last season.

Although she has returned to Full Fitness since then, Zaidu has fought during play time, making only eight appearances in the current campaign and is often on the bench.

While Zaidu brings a top -notch experience and the champion league pedigree, its recent injury history and its lack of parties’ shortage of legitimate concerns about whether it is suitable for a side of Leeds that pursues the promotion.

For now, Leeds United’s immediate focus must remain on the pitch. With six crucial games, recovering a place in automatic promotion sites will be the highest priority.

However, if the club reached a return to the Premier League, or even if they are short, a movement for Zaidu Sanusi could be one of the first stories of its reconstruction in summer.
