Lee Trevino says he knows what Rory Mcilroy It is likely to be heard after his driver failed to test a compliance test.
He also knows what he would have said in response.
Trevino’s comments came through a story written by Rick Broadbent of Times – which can (and should) be fully read here – and they follow the news that Mcilroy’s driver did not pass his compliance test in May at the PGA Championship. Adding the story was the fact that, although drivers usually fail such a test, Mcilroy refused to talk to reporters over his four rounds in Quail Hollow.
In Broadbent’s story, Trevino said he understood every Mcilroy’s potential disappointment on the issue.
“He’s going to tee,” the six -time winner He said, “These people are full of loops, and they are saying, ‘Rory, is this a rightful driver?’
“You don’t need it ** t.”
Trevino, however, had a joke for Mcilroy to use.
“I would have said,” I’m trying to be no. 1 and if I can get five or six illegal clubs in this bag, I’ll try, ”he said.
Also in the story of Broadbent, Trevino compared Scottie Scheffler BY Arnold Palmer.
“His father was looking for a club and I was a member of Royal Oaks,” Trevino told Scheffler. “Pro Learing was a good friend of mine, Randy Smith (who is still Scheffler’s coach). We defended to get inside the ball, and Scottie did it better than anyone because of the right foot turning back. That is why he does not attract much. He is closer to the ball.
“He always had something. The wines are burning here and the kids would wear shorts, but Scottie would always go out into a pair of devils. He would say,” I’ll be one day one day and not wear shorts. “The best guy.
