Caretaker England manager Lee Carsley has revealed he is not on speaking terms with Ben White as the Arsenal star asked not to be contacted.

Carsley oversaw a 2-0 win over Finland at Wembley on Tuesday night, while England backed up their victory against the Republic of Ireland on Saturday.
Harry Kane stole the show in his 100th game when he scored both goals in the second half, the first with a superb strike that went under the crossbar and the second a brilliant first-half finish.
Carsley doesn’t talk to White
Carsley called up a number of debutants in their first-team squad and Angel Gomes made his first start against Finland, while Noni Madueke made his England debut and provided the assist for Kane’s second goal.
It was refreshing to see some new faces and it feels like the start of a new era, although there are more difficult tasks ahead.
However, once again, more than the players in attendance, Carsley was asked again about Arsenal ace White and made it clear that the defender had asked not to be contacted.

“I haven’t planned (to talk to White), no,” he told reporters.
“We talked about it in the squad selection. All the players who can play for England have a chance.
“As far as I know, he has asked not to be contacted.”
Despite impressing for Arsenal over the past two seasons, White has not been in an England squad since the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, which he pulled out midway through for personal reasons.
The 26-year-old currently has four caps, but at this stage he seems uninterested in adding to that total, and it remains to be seen whether he decides to change his mind regarding the England squad.
