Hello, friends, and welcome to this week’s edition of Rogers Report! I am moistening my last days in the ocean state (this is Rhode Island, for the unintentional) before I go to the open championship at night-and I could not be more excited to complete my great Grand Slam career. I traveled overseas for the 2023 Ryder Cup in Rome, but due to family weddings (and a small passport issue, don’t ask) have never been in an open. I am eager to change that next week, and I am planning to pick up all of you along with me for traveling through Rogers report. But before that can happen, we will better clean our dish for good things from this last week, so let’s get to it.
Beat (all) the best (with many)
Twenty one year old amateur and scored VISITOR Lottie Woad He won the Irish Golf Golf Championship of the KPMG Women with Six Strokes (yes, six) over the weekend. She is the first amateur to win in the European Lady Tournament since 2022.
Woad is attracting her to the Evian championship this week, still as an amateur, and I’m very excited to see where her other career gets. I am also trying the most not to compare my 21-year-old self, and I will encourage you all to do the same.
Lebron James Tees it up
I would like to take a moment to congratulate you and offer my deepest condolences Lebron jameswho seems to be getting golf. Hope he knows what is going into: a life of disappointment, pleasure and pure despair in repetition for many, many years to come.
The internet was LOT Excited to see James outside the course, and I hope it is just a matter of time before seeing it removing it on a pro-am tour or celebrity.
I haven’t seen so much craving for a swinging video since the last time Tiger Woods retained his return. Here’s a great golf in your future, Lebron. I have a feeling that you will have no problem campsite some impressive invitations.
Golf and Golf discussions in Wimbledon
Wimbledon is one of my favorite sporting events of the year, and not really because of tennis. I love the fact that we have to see professional players watch tennis. Most of the best players in the world will never know how to follow the masters as protectors, but it seems like a very similar experience. They should be worn and watch a beautiful sport in beautiful grass while enjoying fancy drinks. Sounds quite similar to me! However, a handful of PGA Tour Pro have been out and around in Wimbledon, so let’s take a look.
Matt and Katherine Fitzpatrick participated in Wimbledon with Ludwig aberg and Olivia Peet on Saturday.
Min Woo Lee and Gracie Drennan also attended the weekend, and Justin and Kate Rose have already participated in Wimbledon twice. Talk about good life!
Tommy and Clare Fleetwood went to a match last week, and I was very excited when I saw that they were sitting in front of Nick Jonas – though I wanted to know if they were talking, and as one or would start that conversation.
I am very pleased with what we have seen so far from these professional players in Wimbledon, but I continue to find myself hoping that Rory Mcilroy will attend a match or two in a green jacket before it finishes it all. Rory, if you are reading this, I’m worried that time is running out.
It turns out that tennis played golf in their minds in Wimbledon as well. Carlos Alcaraz used a free minute to use his rocket as a makeshift golf club and get some air shakes (and blows) in Wimbledon, and he discussed doing it with Tom Holland just hours before his quarter -final match.
I think it doesn’t matter who or where you are, after you have golf in your mind, it’s hard to remove it.
The busy program of JJ SPAUN
JJ Spaun has been booked and busy since his US Open Victory in Oakmont last month. Recently he brought the US Open trophy to a bar in Phoenix and let the fans drink from it. Talk about a man of people! Hopefully this brings good luck to the medium players who were out and around that night.
During the weekend, Spaun posted from a PPPA-PIG-themed bus tour in London.
;)
Jj spaun
I can’t imagine it all In the tour he knew he was the only player to finish the week under the same time in Pittsburgh a few weeks ago, but there were probably some golf fans sprinkled there. From gaining a great championship to enjoying the afternoon pig cookies and Peppa, the spaun can really do it all.
Here you hope to get some of your tea. ‘Tys season, after all.
