Oakmont, without. – The last round of 2025 US Open has been suspended due to dangerous weather, with the horn blowing at 4:01 pm. Oakmont country club on Sunday.
Oakmont was wet when the players arrived earlier this week, and more rain came on Friday evening and Saturday. The rain was expected on Sunday afternoon, though the radar was weak and the officials were unclear how much it would hit the course.
It started raining around 3:45 pm on Sunday when the leaders were in the 6th hole, but 15 minutes later the rain was caught and the spectators tried to cover. Some greens had water in the leg.

“We will need to understand what the rest of the afternoon looks,” said Craig Winter, USGA senior director for golf rules, in NBC broadcasting. “This came quite quickly, as you can see that both greens (shown on TV) are unbearable. There is actually electricity that came to some of them. It is a dangerous stop;
It is likely to play on Sunday, though if the delay is too long it can be difficult for the tournament to end on Sunday at night.
When the game resumes, the last pair of Sam Burns AND Adam Scott will hit their shots in the 8th para-3 hole.
Burns, the leader of the 54 holes, is still leading in two under, with Scott in one under. Tyrrell Hatton and Viktor Hovland, both with eight holes, are connected to the third.
