The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is just around the corner and even though the tournament is still some time away, excitement has taken over the fans. In addition, the attention is slightly focused on the mega auction that will be held in December this year.

The mega auction is expected to see some major changes taking place between the teams. Also, with no clarity from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) regarding eclipses and RTM, fans and experts have already seen predictions for major changes.

One of the names making headlines ahead of IPL 2025 is KL Rahul. There is no certainty whether the wicket-keeper will be retained by Lucknow Super Giants as he has been in the headlines since the last edition of the league due to the incidents between him and team owner Sanjiv Goenka.

Sanjiv Goenka and Rahul were seen having a heated conversation during IPL 2024. The franchise owner was beating the team’s skipper after losing two back-to-back games by huge margins. Since then, there have been reports that the striker will not play for the team.

Although Sanjiv Goenka recently mentioned that KL Rahul is like family to them, he did not give a clear picture of how the body will be kept. However, some reports have suggested that the team management will look at the balance of the team before making any call.

There were also rumors suggesting that Rahul was in talks with various franchises, most notably Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Reports claimed that the batter will join his hometown franchise and even captain the team as they need an Indian player who can take the team forward.

In a video that went viral on the internet, Rahul Snax Gaming talked about his desire to see him in Royal Challengers Bengaluru. In response, the Lucknow Super Giants skipper replied in the affirmative.

“Let’s hope” – KL Rahul joins RCB
