Keyshawn Davis misses weight by £ 4.3, title evacuated for De Los Santos Bout

Keyshawn Davis came across the 135 pounds at 139.3 pounds at 135 pounds on Friday’s weigh-in, which led his WBO lightweight title to be stripped of his fight against Edwin de Los Santos on Saturday, June 7. De Los Santos has raised at 134.7 pounds of weight, and he will be eligible to win the narrow vacant WBO title.

Davis misses weight, title away

KeyShawn (13-0, 9 COs) did not want to try to pick up the remaining 4.3 pounds and said he had already made an effort to come to 135 last night and this morning. He couldn’t do it. Davis says he “Outgrew” The lightweight section and will move to the light welter weight next. He says he had already planned to vacate his WBO title anyway, and that would be his last fight at 135.

Keyshawn Davis came in 139 pounds – four pounds over the limit – and did not try to reduce the excess weight. As a result, he was officially stripped of his title on the scale. De Los Santos weighed 134.7 pounds on his part.

As such, if De Los Santos does not win against Davis this Saturday, the vacant WBO lightweight title is likely to be overwhelmed by Abdullah Mason and #1 Sam Noakes. It was if Mason wins his fellow match against Jeremiah Nakathila in the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia.

Weights

  • KEYSHAWN Davis: 139.3 vs. Edwin de Los Santos: 134.7
  • Abdullah Mason: 134.5 vs. Jeremiah Nakathilia: 134.8

For a fighter who missed weight with a broad margin, Keyshawn didn’t drain or look tired. It is a red flag he did not put in the job of picking up the weight, knowing it was his last fight at 135. We saw the same thing about his ‘brother’, Shakur Stevenson, who missed weight in his final fight at Super Featherweight. If you know that this is your last fight in a section, fighters do not make the same effort to gain weight.

‘Much more motivation. I got much better now, ”De Los Santos said Top rankand respond to Keyshawn Davis who is lacking weight by 4.3 pounds at the weigh -in. “Two years off, 135. Oh my god.”

Keyhawn outgrowth lightweight division

“I’m not going to touch him,” Keyshawn said before the face with De Los Santos. “No, I outgrown the weight. I’ve been gaining weight for four years now. I have outgrown the weight. I tried. I was late last night, trying to make the weight. I woke up so early and tried to make the weight. I just outgrown the weight, ‘Davis said when he asked to lose the four pounds in an hour for a second weighing effort.

“I felt last time when I fought against Berinchyk. Thank God, I made it. I don’t know how I felt it, but that’s what it is. Yes, that’s for sure. That’s what ‘the businessman’ is, DB3 does. We’re going to offer a show. Hopefully everything goes through.

“I was four pounds left. I did not reach the next weight class. So the show is still going to go on, but we had to deal with business. Honestly, I went up to 140 anyway. So, honestly, it was, hey, whatever. That’s what it is. Expect the same thing. ‘ The businessman “knocks people out, and De Los Santos, he’s the next,” Davis says.
