Madison Keys and Jessica Pegula will have an extra practical time in front of the US Open.
The two were dropped from the main draw Wednesday in Cincinnati, as Keys fell for Elena Rybakina, 6-7 (3) 6-2, while Pegula was defeated by Magda Linette of Poland in the third round action.
World No.4 Pegula has lost four of six since Wimbledon, and will go to New York, where she is protecting the scores of the race.
Keys was a group in Rybakina, but fought in heat while the match appeared and it was not a match for the former Wimbledon champion in the third set. She controlled her blood pressure early in the third and did not fight no benefit.

In the midst of a year in her career that she saw her win her big girl title in January, Keys of the sixth has won five of the seven in North American strong courts, reaching the quarter -finals in Montreal, where she lost to Clara Tauson, and the 16th round in Cincinnati.
Coco Gauff is the last American to stay in Cincinnati – she will face Lucia Bronzeti in the 16th round Thursday.
