Keith Thurman criticized Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis today and embarrassed him for choosing not to take fights for Vergil Ortiz JR and Theofimo Lopez. Thurman compared Ennis’s behavior to his own and said he never battles of “when the money is right.”
The criticism by former WBA and WBC welterweight champion Thurman (31-1, 23) is a transparent attempt to get Ennis to fight him next. Thurman tries to get madly mad at fighting him.
The outdated 36-year-old Thurman struck out with his efforts to face the other marketable fighters as he has been too inactive for the past six years.
Thurman’s Ennis criticism
‘Never worry about Keith Thurman fighting people when the money is right. I got my fight against Errol Spence Jr. He walked away, ‘Keith Thurman said media. ‘Boots didn’t want theofimo. Boots do not want (Vergil) Ortiz. Hey Chump, who do you want? ‘
Keith’s lost popularity
The popularity Thurman enjoyed while still motivated before becoming a millionaire evaporated. Younger fans are not familiar with him except for a bright man who talks a lot on YouTube.
“Do you want champions, do you want cumps? Someone told me the other day that he wanted to get up (after 154) and get two tune-ups, ‘Thurman continued his criticism of Boots Ennis. ‘An unbeaten champion gets two tune-ups? You beat Stanionis. You don’t feel comfortable at 147? You held it. And you want to come up, and you don’t want champions? Do you want chumps? ‘
Ennis November opponents
Ennis is expected to fight before the end of the year in November. These are three of the potential options for him: Vergil Ortiz Jr., Serhii Bohachuk, or Israil Madrimov. These are active fighters. Thurman is not active and has not beaten a name fighter since 2022 when he defeated Mario Barrios. Even that man is not in the same league as Vergil Jr., Bohachuk and Madrimov.
“I don’t know why this boy acts like that, how you reject fights, good fights, money on the table. I feed my family, ‘says Thurman.
‘At a time, Thurman does not have to beg for fights when he works on the contender of the contender by adopting the top -15 contenders at 154. His reluctance to do this is the problem.
“Once” is looking for great payday
He just tries to fight a big money fight without risking a loss by fighting contenders such as Bohachuk and Madrimov. He is lazy and sneaky to try to land a big fight. He does not want to take the risk and pose the hard work. He just wants the payday to be given to him based on his achievements in the past 8 to 10 years ago.
