The news cycle has not ended with KEEGAN BRADLEY.
In the lead of the 2025 Ryder Cup, the US team captain has been a steady source of stories, most of them speculative.
Would Bradley make one of his six captain choices? (Answer: No). Who else would you choose to round out his team? (Answer: Click here) How much tips would Bradley require from the bright likes of Tiger Woods? (Answer: LOT) Would make a picture of Bradley, Michael Jordan BethpaGE Black, Long Island’s Cup host of this year? (Ok, the last one has more to do with Jordan than Bradley, but you get the point: the captain’s name has been popular in the press).
With the Ryder Cup planned for the end of September, it remains long for Bradley to be part of the pre-event hype. And stories will not stop when the matches begin. Bradley’s time in the titles is forced to continue throughout the competition, and it is not appropriate to end with the Ryder Cup itself. After the event tests often crawl for weeks. Plus, now there is another topic associated with Bradley to support good fraud in the outside season and beyond: Should he serve as captain again in 2027 when Ryder Cup moves to Adare Manor in Ireland?
Rich Beem believes he should. The former PGA champion made that simple opinion in a recent Podcast Sky Sports Golf episode, in which he suggested that Team USA take a page from the European book by suppressing the repetition of the captain’s role.
“It was the same configuration, the same captain vice president,” Beem said. “I think you have to have that consistency, especially when you go to foreign land.”
With the “same configuration”, Beem referred to 2025 European captain Luke Donald, who was in charge two years ago in Rome when Europeans with the American Board, 16.5-11.5. Some of Donald’s assistants from 2023 – Thomas Bjørn, José Maria Olabazal, Edoardo Molinari and Francesco Molinari – will also be on his side this time.
Smart movement, Beem said. In his opinion, the fact that the same belief of the brain is responsible is Europe’s “greatest asset”.
“There will be no change in what they have made,” Beem said. “I think the American side should do the same thing correctly. I think if Keegan would be the captain of Ryder Cup this time, I think you should get the same team correctly. You have to have consistency.”
The argument of beem is deducted to: If it is not broken, do not fix it, which makes sense in the abstract. But, of course, it is also premature, because the Bradley captain has not yet faced the final test.
Will there be a need for fixing? Should it be left as it is? Time will tell. The answers will appear in your news quite quickly.
