He ensured that India’s momentum was not lost during the middle overs, hitting the loose delivery effectively and was punished.

Kanishk gave excellent support to George with the best 46. The right-hander played a calculated knock-on, counter-attack as Pakistan tried to squeeze runs. Their partnership stalled the innings and put India on a platform to reach a competitive spot. However, Pakistan made a late comeback in the innings through disciplined bowling.

It was by the bowling of Pakistan U19 Abdul Subhanemerging as the most effective bowler. Subhan took 3 wickets for 42 runs, preventing India from breaking key partnerships and preventing India from freely accelerating through the death. The ability to change the PACE and hit consistent lengths helped Pakistan restrict India to 240 instead of a more formidable total.

Despite Subhan’s efforts, Pakistan’s fielding and inability to pressurize from both ends allowed India to cross the 230-run mark that eventually proved Pakistan’s insurmountable reach.

Pakistan struggle in the chase despite Huzaifa Ahsan’s resistance

But the lack of support from the other end proved costly. Constant Wickets saw Pakistan never build a threatening partnership and the required run rate continued unabated.
