Kambosos calls out hitchins after surviving a part-time warrior-hitchins can’t stop laughing
George Kambosos Jr., flourishing and breathtaking after scraping a substitute at the last minute that had a ticket to the show six days ago, took the microphone and decided to shout in the void: “Hitchins, let’s go!”

Somewhere in Brooklyn, Richardson Hitchins probably laughed off his chair.
For to a night where Kambosos JR barely escaped from Jake “Was not even training” Wyllie, he now screams at one of the smoothest 140 pounds on the planet as he just smoked the same night Devin Haney, Theofimo Lopez and Barboza.
Survive first, screaming second
Let’s be clear – it was not dominance. It was nothing elite level. It was a former champion of two sections hanging, cut and pushed back by an Aussie at national level that received the call over the weekend while still holding a stump for his arena seat.
Wyllie went to eat from Nachos on the plots to almost upset the main event within a week. And Kambosos? He looked like he had barely enough gas in the tank to explain what had just happened, let alone explain why he earned another world title.
Yet George gave us the sound bite of the night:
‘Sh **-Chins won’t fight anywhere as hard as he is fighting (Jake Wyllie). Hitchins, let’s go! ‘
Yes, he really said that. While holding blood.
Mate, Hitchins would end up in five rounds 300 jabs and swing you on the air until your arms fall off. It is no longer 2021, and you are not the man who shocked theofimo. You are the man who has just done life and death with a block that handed gloves on Tuesday.
Hitchins entered the chat
No official response from Hitchins – probably because he is too busy looking at the fight and laughing. He doesn’t have to say much. The footage does this for him. He goat’s circles around top contenders. Kambosos? He has just survived nine rounds with someone who has not haunted since December.
Hitchins’ worst night has been cleaner than George’s best lately. And now George wants him from toes to toe?
Teen-to-tone with what? A Bloke who admits that he only boxed five rounds and then kept the rest his face together?

Eddie Hearn’s biggest spinning yet
Leave it to Eddie Hearn to pretend it was part of a big plan:
“If it heals, we have an appointment at the end of June … George Kambosos Jr. to fight for the World Championships in America.”
He says it as if George didn’t just clap in his own backyard. Eddie’s job is to sell the next battle. So much is clear. But try to give this mess so momentum? This is optimism in the industrial degree.
The only thing George proved on Saturday was that he could still get through ten rounds without collapsing. Scarce.
And the whole “toe-toe Warrior” point of sale? Hitchins made a career not to stand still and laugh at fighters trying to drag him into a noise. So the plan here is … what? Get out for 12 rounds and then ask for a trilogy?
Wyllie – the real star
Here is the truth: Jake Wyllie walked out of Qudos Bank Arena with more credibility than George. The fans know that. Matchroom knows that. Wyllie did not win a win, but he got a contract. Because, in contrast to George, he seemed to give more than he had.
He changed six days’ notice in the execution of his life. Kambosos turned eight years of hype into a bloody, uncomfortable mess that looked like a comeback tour wrong.
“Victory was never in doubt,” they said.
Sure. Because the cards said so. But if Wyllie had another week to prepare, chances are we would have a very different conversation.
Kambosos 2.0? Or just done?
What is George now? A gatekeeper? A brand name? Or a misleading former champion who still clings to the one of the Aofimo evening as it is forever 2021?
Because this version of Kambosos does not beat Hitchins. He doesn’t even touch him. And the fact that he then appeals this Performance proves only one thing: He is either bluff or desperate.
The blood, the cut, the struggle-it all led to a speech after the fight that read like fantasy fan fiction.
“Let him fight against me against me. At the end of June? Bring it to it. ‘
If Hitchins agrees in June, it is because he wants a sparring session on a direct stage.
And let’s be honest – even then George may bite off more than he can chew.
