Juventus asserted their dominance over struggling Pisa with an emphatic 4-0 win at the Allianz Stadium on 7 March 2026. A stellar performance from Kenan Yıldız, who scored and assisted, spearheaded the decisive second-half surge that broke the deadlock.
Going into the game, Juventus were sixth in Serie A, needing points to bolster their hopes of European qualification after a run of inconsistent form recently. Pisa, mired in 19th place, were desperate for a break from their ongoing relegation battle, having endured a difficult season.
The first half saw Juventus control possession with 59%, but initially struggled to break down a resilient Pisa defence. Despite firing a total of 16 shots, only three found the net and the Pisa goalkeeper made important saves.
Pisa’s commitment to defense often veered towards physicality, leading to early bookings. Marius MarÃn received a yellow card for aggression in the 40th minute, highlighting the aggressiveness of the visitors. Juventus created several chances but lacked the cutting edge in front of goal.
At half-time, with the scoreline remarkably goalless, Juventus’ coaches surely emphasized the need for greater penetration and urgency in the final third. Tactical adjustments were envisaged to unlock Pisa’s deep defensive set-up and exploit space.
Juventus came out revitalized after the break, making two impactful substitutions that immediately changed the attacking dynamic. Andrea Cambiaso broke the deadlock in the 54th minute, with a smart assist from the impressive Kenan Yıldız.
The first goal clearly energized the home team. Khéphren Thuram doubled Juventus’ lead in the 65th minute with a powerful and well-placed strike, capitalizing on the sudden shift in momentum. Pisa found themselves struggling to contain Juventus’ renewed attack.
Kenan Yıldız capped off his excellent display with a goal in the 75th minute, guiding the ball expertly past the Pisa keeper after a precise pass from Francisco Conceição. Pisa’s growing frustration was evident, with Alessandro Caracciolo receiving a yellow card just minutes earlier.
Juventus continued to press for more goals, and substitute Jérémie Boga added a fourth in stoppage time in the 93rd minute. His late effort, after a smart assist from Manuel Locatelli, ensured a comprehensive and deserved victory for the home side.
Juventus’ offensive prowess was undeniable, generating an expected goals (xG) of 2.67 on 25 total shots, with seven on target. Pisa managed just 0.45 xG on seven shots and just two on goal, showing their significant offensive limitations.
This dominant 4-0 triumph significantly boosts Juventus’ pursuit of a coveted top-four finish in Serie A, demonstrating their ability to overcome stubborn opposition. Pisa remain firmly rooted in the relegation zone, now facing an even tougher battle for Serie A survival.
