Real Madrid superstar Jude Bellingham has said there is “nothing I hate more” than being forced to miss games after being sidelined with a calf injury.
Bellingham suffered the problem during a practice session and will miss about a month of action until the end of September. He would not only be ruled out of Madrid’s upcoming games in La Liga and the new Champions League, but England’s first two UEFA Nations League games.
“Nothing I hate more than missing games, but trying to look on the bright side and maybe my body is telling me it needs a bit more rest after a busy year.” Bellingham published in Instagram.
“I’m very frustrated, but I’ll support the boys as a fan until I can get them back together in my best and strongest form,” he added.
Bellingham made 42 appearances Real Madrid in all competitions last season, scoring 23 goals and reaching the La Liga and Champions League. But he also suffered a dislocated shoulder and a sprained ankle during the campaign he played.
The young midfielder then went to Euro 2024 with England, playing almost every minute of the tournament. He then missed Madrid’s pre-season program to rest and recover, but returned to the starting XI as the European champions faced Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup just a month later that England had faced Spain at the Euros in Berlin.
If Bellingham misses all games until the end of September, he is ruled out for La Liga games against Real Betis, Real Sociedad, Espanyol and Alavés, as well as the first matchday of the new La Liga phase of Champions against a yet to be determined. opponent
England will face the Republic of Ireland and Finland on September 7 and 10 respectively.
