The Major League Baseball offseason was hit with the biggest news of the year after superstar free agent Juan Soto signed with the New York Mets.
Soto played his first year with the New York Yankees in 2024 before signing with another New York team this offseason.
The Soto lottery was filled with drama from start to finish as multiple teams were involved in negotiations for the All-Star.
When Soto chose the Mets, many assumed it was because they offered him the most money, but Soto revealed another reason for choosing them.
“The Bigs are a great organization. They have all the ability to continue to win, to try to grow a dynasty,” Soto said, via SNY.
Juan Soto is asked why he decided to join the Mets.

Soto says he joined the Mets because of their ability to keep winning and turn the team into a dynasty for years to come.
Interestingly, Soto cited a desire to win as the main reason for going to them, with the Mets having only two World Series in franchise history, compared to 27 for the Yankees.
While the teams are pretty evenly matched right now, Soto could put a lot of pressure on the Bigs to win with his comments.
Soto will join the Mets in 2025 after signing a $765 million deal over 15 years.
The Mets haven’t won a World Series since 1986, but the addition of Soto would greatly improve their chances heading into the 2025 season.
After signing with the Mets, Soto will now play for his fourth different team at just 26 years old.
