Journey to competitions. Cross Country, Mo Ahmed How to be a better high school runner

Mo Ahmed is one of the best long distance runners in the world. In 2019 in Doha, Qatar, Mo Ahmed won a bronze medal in the 5000 meter race. His award press conference was glorious as Mo Ahmed, a rather calm person in most situations, was simply flamboyant, dropping a few F bombs here and there and adding cheekiness to a funny situation.

In 2021 in Tokyo, Mo Ahmed won the Olympic silver in the 5000 meters. I wasn’t there because of COVID-19. Oh, how I wish I was there!

Reaching Mo Ahmed at NXR Southwest, I asked the Canadian great and former UW Badger what advice he would give a high school cross country runner. That’s what this video is about.
