Fabrizio Romano has reported that Joshua Kimmich now seems more and more likely to stay in Bayern Munich after new conversations on a contract extension had a positive turn.
For months, speculations have turned to the future of German, with some of the main clubs in Europe, such as Arsenal, supervising their situation closely.
With its current agreement, which will expire in 2025 and Bayern previously removed its initial contract offer, it seemed that the 29-year-old could go to the departure. However, current discussions have changed the impulse, with all the open parts to expand their stay in Bavaria.
The journalist Florian Plettenberg had revealed that the negotiations are moving forward and that the Bayern and Kimmich camp now work to finish the details of a new potential contract. A few weeks ago, it seemed that his time at Allianz Arena came to an end, but the last developments suggest that he can continue to be a central figure for the Bundesliga giants.
Despite approaching the 30, Kimmich is still one of the most reliable players in Bayern. He has already made 37 appearances this season, contributing 10 assists and registering almost 3,300 minutes to all competitions.
Premier League clubs had been prepared to drag — If it was made available, but with the contract conversations moving in the right direction, their chances of landing it seems to fall.

Kimmich said in a recent interview when asked about his future: “My plan was to make my decision before the international pause.
“The club did not want this to be legitimate. I thank them for giving me a long time. It was important to get to a good start this season after a difficult season and to re -create a relationship between them.
“The club now wanted to have a decision before the two games against Leverkusen. For me, the injury had a little complicated things without going into details. But there will be a decision soon.
“I don’t know if it will be between the two legs (against Leverkusen), but it will definitely be before the international break in the latest”
