#1 WBO ranking with Moses Itauma could be forced himself to fight interim champion Joseph Parker for the vacant WBO heavyweight title as the current champion Oleksandr utility to defend against the compulsory park.
Why a Parker against Itauma fight?
Parker’s promoter, David Higgins, today revealed that there was no contact from USYK’s team about whether they would start negotiating for a fight with Joseph. If not, they will be stripped of the WBO title or evacuated. This will leave Parker (36-3, 24 COs) in the position to rip the belt. He will either be elevated to the new champion or Face 1 contender Itauma (12-0, 10 COs) for the belt.
