Jordan Spieth It has attracted it to 296 previous PGA Tour events and the only reason he had not finished a week was due to a lost cut.
That was until this week.
Spieth injured the neck during its heating before the first round of Traveler Thursday and was noticeably in pain in the back nine in TPC River Highlands. Finally, in the 13th hole, Spieth said he could not continue and withdrew from the tournament.
Marks the first time in 297 PGA Tour career starts spieth is withdrawn from a tour.

After Spieth hit a stroke from the bunker on the 13th hole, he Winced and told his caddy, Michael Gellerthat he will not be able to continue and request an official of the rules. He was apologizing to Geller and his game partner, novice Luke Clarton.
When the rules official arrived, Spieth asked him what to do in the situation.
“I’ve never done this before,” he said.
“It was both sides of the neck and the upper back,” Spieth said afterwards. “I left 30 minutes early from my heat and returned to the table with my physique who was there in the range … I was just not moving very well … Then I hit my intention at 13, and that really hurt.
According to Golf Channel’s George Savaricas, when Spieth made the turn, he was using a massage weapon, taking advantage of a rule that Allows players to use percutitive therapy equipment during competition rounds.
Spieth Winced after his second shot in the 12th hole and observed Geller, “I just can’t do it. I just can’t finish a spine.”
He made Bogey there to drop to five over 12 holes and then groan when he pulled his track into the bunker in the 13th hole.
“It is incredibly disappointing because it was 10 out of 12 (events) for me and I was looking at this being the strongest, and I was very sure of it,” Spieth said. “Everything I had done in practice and Pro-AM told me it will be a really good event. Just a very strange circumstance. It is disappointing … We’re having a baby here within two weeks, so I will have some time now, obviously, to health, but I hope after a few days I was again.”
Spieth has recorded four 10 top 10 this season, including two weeks ago in the memorial, which is more than he had all 2024.
He underwent an ankle surgery after the 2024 season and did not make his debut in the season to Pebble Beach.
