Jordan Spieth is ultimately healthy after dealing with an annoying hand issue since 2018 – and he returns to PGA Tour this week this week 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-AM at a retooleed pace.
The big sample three times had a hand operation in August. After he was medically cleaned, the spieth went to work, shaking a major part of his swing. Having the months to return to the lab did some well, as he made a simple but necessary shake for his swing hoping to allow him to rediscover his old shape.
“I have been able to work for some things in the type of swing in a way that I had not worked on them since I was 13, where I had this time, this wet concrete to try to form some things, come out Of some bad habits, ”Spieth said Wednesday during his pre-Turneut press conference. “This is still a developing job, but I made a lot of progress in the two months I had to do it.”
Change?
Spieth had to change some of his back slightly to help improve a wedge game that has fallen late.
“It was a kind of necessary to fix – honestly, it’s my hand way, how I kept the club fastest, turning with my hands traveling a little deeper,” Spieth said. “So by doing it and then combining it with what is needed to turn it to line it into the ball. I had taken high hands, hands crawling much longer. So many of the game of My wedge, some of my fingers and finesse things you can still drive the ball well because you have enough time to make up for it. Great, big change.
According to Data Golf, Spieth had his best blows: the season of his career approach in 2017 when he won 1.14 strokes. Since then, Spieth has failed to gain more than 0.58 strokes in access (2018) in every single season. Last year, Spieth ended the year by -0.07 SG: Access. This was the second worst sign of his professional career.
Spieth initially damaged the hand in 2018, which affected his control. He made some changes over time, but eventually, he developed some bad habits he is now trying to correct.
“My fastening around (2018), I had hurt him and did not fix it,” Spieth said. “I already have a poor control and weakened a lot, and I entered into bad habits for a long time. It was not legitimately Tuesday (Phoenix Open’s Waste Management in 2021) I actually changed control my in like five, eight degrees more on top with my left hand.
“That was 2021, and I played well, firmly well for a few years. And then this event could (2023), and then it was just a kind – whether it was affecting or not, I will never know but no Importance now.
Now completely healthy, the spieth has no restrictions on its swinging. He arrives at Pebble Beach with realistic expectations for his week and the early part of his return. Spieth will rely on a patient’s approach as it returns to competition activity. The 31-year-old hopes the next three weeks will serve as construction blocks to return it to the top of the sport.
A Retolved rhythm he can trust now will serve well on that trip.
“The results are results. The results come, a fall or you are in enough quarrel, it goes your way, “said Spieth.” But simply being steady, just getting up and knowing it’s going to start the ball there, it can lead At 69 that day, it can lead to 65, maybe 74 improve in. Only much less conjecture, more confidence in what I am doing, and climbing it is really what I’m looking forward to. “
