The British athlete says that his illustration in Gyertenburg in 1995 “is almost part of me and more, I could have hope for sports”
On August 7, 1995, Jonathan Edwards lasted the runway in the world championships in Gothenburg and jumped 18.16 m (1.3) to improve his world record of 17.98 m.
In the form of his life, he went more about both of them, registering a sign of 18,29 m (1.3). The performance was 67 cm than any of his competitors on that day, and 30 years later, it still survives as a world record.
Very good triple flights have been attacked over the years, such as Christian Taylor and Kleen will be Pedro Dirian, Pedro Dirian, Pedro Dirian, Pedigue. But Taylor is approaching in 1990 with 18.21 m.
It is one of the longest Matletics world records, but it must come somewhere, isn’t it?
“I will stimulate, I certainly,” he said, “I mean, it’s so long.” That’s almost a part of me.
“It’s more than I could ever hope to get in sport so I’ll be fine but it was a sad day.

Edwards spoke with Colin Jackson in the last episode of Puma’s Go Wild Podcast. Through the conversation, Edwards shares what life was like in the small town of Davon, England, becoming a late flowering in his sports, and refraining, naturally does not exceed.
Another Podcast Edwards speaks about topics that include …
- KnockBy placing its flow condition in sports. “It simply came to our notice then. I was fine with it, but I loved its rhythm. “
- Traditional life pursuance. I loved my sport, you know it’s what I liked the most. But my focus was always on learning because we were growing up when a professional sport did not exist. Not as it exists now. Yes. So I focused very much to learn hard to go to the university, to get a degree and get a job. “
- About being a late Bloomer in his sport. “You talk about being a late developer.
- Pursuing his love for his sport. “I completed the forms of different applications, but my heart was not in it. And I thought, maybe I just have to try and there was nothing.
- Not to make money from sports: “And I’m looking back now I think I’m crazy. I could have a good job for the bank or made my accounting.
- When he did not comment on his physical appearance to him. “There is nothing remarkable about me. I remember a newspaper article once. I think I can do that I can do it.
- Not allowing his natural talent to disturb him. “My vertical jump or horizontal jump or the three-time jump – garbage.
- Through courses listens to his body.“I have received a bronze medal at the World Championships, and I have trained more than I have ever trained to follow the winter season.
- Feeling images syndrome. “So is there always such breasts syndrome like this is my thing?
- His message for today’s young athletes. “I think that as a common principle, big things that have big things are just ordinary people.
