The first round of Jon Rahm of this week BMW PGA Championship At the Wentworth Golf Club set off for a disappointing start due to a debate over the rules the Spaniard lost.
Rahm withdrew his shot in the par-4 13 yard 305 yard down on the right side of the road. Prior to his second hit, Rahm founded his club behind the ball and saw his ball move a little. Rahm called an official of the rules to discuss whether he did a violation because Rahm was not “100 percent safe” his club made the ball move. Rahm and the official discussed the issue for some time and even got a fan’s phone to see if they could take a closer look at what made the ball move.
Rahm replaced his ball and then told the official that the ball had left the club, which would suggest that it was not his club that made him move, but on the contrary, gravity pulling it in the opposite direction. In the end, the official told Rahm that he would be punished a blow since the ball moved after he founded his club.
Look at the whole debate about the rules below.
As Rahm lost the debate over the rules, the fallen blow did not end, devoting the big champion twice.
Rahm hit his third shot at 33 meters and then poured into a long blow to get out of the unsafe hole. Rahm fired a 1st on Thursday and supported it with 69s back 69s on Friday and Saturday. He is currently connected for 31 to 7-nine-par.
Rahm is one of 11 members of the Europe’s Ryder Cup team to remove it This week in Wentworth while Captain Luke Donald makes his latest preparations for Bethpage Black. All 11 members made the cut, and Tyrrell Hatton and Viktor Hovland will enter Sunday with a lawful chance of setting up the trophy. Hatton will begin the last round of Sunday at 13 Under, two shots behind co-leaders with 54 holes Alex Nora and Adrian Saddier. Hovland is three shots back. Matt Fitzpatrick and Ludwig Ã¥berg are five shots at the pace.
The European team will spend Monday and Tuesday at Bethpage Black as part of a final scouting trip. They will then go their separate ways before returning to try and become the first team to win a Ryder cup since Europe’s Miracle in Medinah in 2012.
