Jon Rahm Tipo Train’s Golf Golf continues to amaze

Roester, England – There are many we have learned about Jon Rahm on Wednesday – mostly that he does not like beer, and would rather have red wine – but one of his aspects that was on the show was not new at all. In fact, we know it quite well.

Rahm is an absolute golf story.

Anyone who has interviewed him, or simply looked at one of his press conferences, has become aware early and often. The man has studied several movies, Wikipedia Pages, Ryder Cup History, Spaniard Golf Records, you name it.

Second place his brain traveled was south, to Valderramma, where the first and only Spanish Ryder Cup was received in 1997, captured by Seve Ballesteros.

“I think there were alone, I can remember, four Spanish people who were involved in that Ryder Cup with Seve,” Rahm began. “Miguel was a captain of Vice President Ollie playing and then Nacho Garrido also playing.”

Everyone remembers Nacho Garrido, right? No?

Nacho was the nickname of Ignacio Garrido, from Madrid, who made only a small part of the PGA Tour begins in his career, but who made a victory at the DP World Tournament in the summer of 1997 along the way to join the European team. He halved his three games and lost his fourth, Single Singles, Tom Lehman, 7 and 6. But Rahm would never forget.

“So only four (Spaniards can say they have (played a cup in Spain). I don’t know how many players can ever say they have played a Ryder cup in their native places. Not too much except the American team, obviously. But it would be unbelievable. I am very happy to be happening.

Again, for anyone who has ever interviewed it, it doesn’t surprise. Rahm press conferences often slide towards a history lesson. Take his PGA championship press conference, where he went deep into the lessons he would have seeing ‘Chronicles of a Golf Champion’ on YouTube. Or in Oakmont, when he began to withdraw, in the opposite chronological order, the names of the open US champions in Oakmont.

“Dustin, Angel, Ernie, Larry,” began Rahm.

“Jack” a reporter intervened.

“Johnny, then Jack, right?” Rahm said, correcting the record.

There is no Best historian among active playersand especially among elite players. The RAHM brain relies on the memory of the numbers, as when asked about the record of Sergio Garcia in Valderramma a year ago, and he shocked “17 beginnings, 15 top 10 and four wins”. He has turned back and studied the old masters of YouTube, so much so that he can withdraw not only how Seve Ballesteros won the 1983 masters – entering the 18th – but who was also fighting for the green jacket against: Tom Watson.

He uses tips by Phil Mickelson Highlight Reels to ask during their next practice together. He has fallen for Lee Trevino’s story, just as we all have. He performs small tiger memory in memory, and then keeps them removed until, for example, he finds himself in an open on St. Andrews.
