Jeremiah Azu is 3rd in the UK all-time 60m rankings with 6.47 in Berlin.

The world indoor champion is in good form ahead of defending his global title in Torun in two weeks’ time.

Jeremiah Azu seems to be aiming for perfection when it comes to defending his world 60m title in Torun later this month.

At the World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver meet in Berlin on Friday (March 6), she clocked 6.47 to move into Great Britain’s No.3 all-time indoor ranking for the distance. Only Dwayne Chambers (6.42) and Jason Gardener (6.46) have run faster.

It was a Welsh record for Azu and also a European record for 2026.

On March 6, 1994, Colin Jackson set a 60m hurdles world record of 7.30 in Sindelfingen, Germany, and on the same day, 32 years later, Jakub Szymanski ran the fastest time by a European since then, with a Polish record of 7.37.

The mark moved him to No. 7 on the world all-time leaderboard and No. 2 on the European list behind Jackson.
