Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis again recorded with Eddie Hearn’s match room and signed a multiple expansion with them and Dazn. Former Unified Welterweight Champion Ennis (34-0, 30 COs) is hopeful that he can become a star now that he goes up after 154 to tackle the opposition division at a higher level.
Matchroom’s Ennis SuperStar Plan
Hearn says that boots a “Different animal” at junior middleweight. Fans would like to see Ennis, 28, start to fight better opposition so that he can build himself to a true star. The three fights that Jaron had had with Matchroom in April 2024 were disappointing.

Ennis should have moved up to 154 last year, rather than wasting his time with his superficial goal of becoming the undisputed welterweight champion. It was no sense to pursue the time capacity goal, as the belt containers were no names that the box public was not familiar with. Even if boots have finally caught all four belts, people would not have noticed it.
“They are willing to do everything needed to make me a superstar. I’m ready to get 154 pounds going, and I hunt for the big names and the belts. Now it’s time to keep everyone closed, ‘Jaron Ennis says, talking about his contract extension with Matchroom.
Tune-ups for boots Ennis
Boots are already shooting himself in the foot by choosing to set two in the rise at 154 instead of diving straight. Those tune-ups are likely to chew a year of Ennis’s career, which means he will be 29 or 30 before finally fighting the talented guys in the division.
These are the fighters that Hearn must match Ennis against:
Sebastian fundora
Vergil ortiz jr
Israil Madrimov
Bakhram Murtazaliev
Serhii Bohachuk
Xander Zayas
Terence crawford
Jorge Garcia
Erickson Lubi
Yoenis tellez
Keith Thurman
Tim Tszyu
“I’m so excited to see that boots are over the 154-pound section, where you will see another animal and its full arsenal, Eddie Hearn said.
