Whether it’s the opposition fans, who blows the whistle of a referee in half a game, as if a liner dropped at the press conferences, Jamie Vardy has always been one of the great characters in football.
And in his first interview as a cremon player, the 38 -year -old striker showed exactly why.
Vardy, who joined the A -A -A -A -year Agreement after leaving Leicester City, was asked about his age and motivation during his presentation.
“In Italy we are a little skeptical about players as you approach at the age of 40. We usually say, where is their motivation, what form are they? What do you say in response to skeptics?” asked a journalist.
Vardy’s response was as sharp as his finish.
“You have to be one of the doubts,” he returned. “You are one that I will have to prove badly.”
He added: “Age is just a number. Whenever the legs continue to do exactly what they used to and feel as fresh as they do, I will continue. At the moment there are no signs of slowdown, so I will continue. I will give all my for this club.”
Cremons, who defied expectations last season to win the promotion, has begun brilliantly and stands in the A series A after two games.
Vardy could debut this Saturday in a blockbuster clash in San Siro against Inter.
It’s time for Vardy to put your money where your mouth is, although if your career has so far taught us something, you should be worried.
