Liverpool won their match against Brighton 2-1, but more importantly for them, both title rivals lost today.

Arsenal were beaten 2-1 by Newcastle United earlier today, while Manchester City suffered a surprise defeat at the hands of Bournemouth.

It was an important day in the title race for all the teams involved, but Arne Slot and his Liverpool will leave happy to have taken a two-point lead over Pep Guardiola’s Man City.

The Reds were 1-0 down at Anfield against Brighton, but goals from Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah ensured Liverpool avoided another hiccup at Anfield this season, as they experienced earlier in the season against Nottingham Forest.

With eight wins from ten Premier League games this season, Slot has settled in well at Liverpool and has shown he can compete for top honors even after Jurgen Klopp’s departure.

Jamie Carragher reacted hilariously against Arsenal and Man City losing today and Liverpool winning the game and taking a place in the Premier League standings.

Carragher can be seen in the video saying “What a match day that was!” in a fun way, mocking Liverpool’s rivals Arsenal and Man City.

Liverpool look unstoppable this season and under Slot, they have improved both in attack and defence.

The Reds have conceded just six goals in the Premier League all season. Not only is their defense difficult to break down, but their attack is on a whole different level, thanks to Salah inspiring the team and scoring seven goals in the league.

The title race promises to be exciting and Liverpool have shown they will challenge until the end.

They’ve already taken a seven-point lead over Arsenal, which shows they’re operating at a completely different level at the moment.
