King Jacob will not become European champion in 2026.
OSLO (NORIA). Jakob Ingebrigtsen has decided to skip the European Cross-Country Championship to be held in Lagoa on December 14, reports NRK. “Jakob has been training very well at altitude in recent weeks and has decided to skip the European Championships to fully focus on the 2026 season. We support the decision and look forward to the upcoming season,” said Erlend Slokvik, sports director of the Norwegian Athletics Association.
